This 1963 VW Bus Dragster was built over a 5 year span and completed in 2007. There has been less than 200 miles driven on the all custom 2X4″ Square tube chassis and tin work by Holzman race cars.  Tilt body (like the Hot Wheels Models) is hinged in front and lifts the rear approximately 30″ for access to the rear wheels/tires. Has a built in crank and cable pulley system to lift the body.

Custom wiring and plumbing done by RPM Motor Sports.  MSD Ignition System.

Mid-Engine SBC 355 with 2-450 Holley 4-barrels on High-Rise Manifold, Double hump heads, 525 camshaft.  Generates approx 450 HP.

Flip-O-Matic 2 Speed Power-Glide with line lock.

Narrowed Ford 9″ with Strange Center Section.  4:11 Gears and 35 Spline Axles.

4 Link Coil-Over Rear Suspension.  Independent Front Suspension with tubular A-Arms.

4-Wheel Disc Brakes.  Front are Wilwood and the rears are Versailles Stock with Drilled and Slotted Rotors.

Weld Racing Draglite Wheels with Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R Radial Tires.

High Rise with Dual Quads for Racing-Switch to Single Carb on Low Rise for Street Driving.  (Not currently titled for street use)

Rear opens to create a lunch tray and this VW Bus has a Tow Package so you can take your tools and picnic basket along to the drag-strip.

Currently in Mat-Finish two tone primer.  You can paint it YOUR way!

The owner has added a larger 20 gallon fuel system,  much larger rear mounted radiator and cooling system,  upgraded and heat wrapped exhaust system, upgraded electronics, gauges and wiring to include operable headlights, tail lights, turn signal and tow bar receiver. Owner has been driving it on dealer plate but has a clean '63 VW Bus title, and all of the street requirements are met. This car could be registered in any state. He said he would be glad to assist the purchaser in getting the registration for the street.
