1928 Ford Woody 1 of a kind Rat Rod Delivery Wagon
This one is Sold,,, FUN All The Way. 1928 Ford Model A Woodie Sedan Delivery. Warning: This car will NOT be welcome at your local Model A Restorers Club Annual Weenie Roast Tournament and Car Show. You’ll be an outcast among the purists (but you’ll be having a better time with the bad boy bunch up at the Roadhouse!) What it is, is a Rod. It is NOT fancy. It is fun: Big grin, laugh-out-loud fun. Color from the cab forward, is flat black with flames. And not just a painted flame job, either. The hood has been "artfully" cut out to reveal the engine while looking through flames, which have been further painted to look even more like flames with lots of neat touches done under the hood. The mill is a Chevy 350 crate motor, though the valve covers proudly proclaim it to be from a "327 Turbo Fire Corvette." It isn’t really, but it looks cool. And that’s what counts on this baby. While the color in front is flat black, from the cab back you’d describe the color as WOOD, or perhaps, OAK with PINE. That’s right, just like a sedan delivery from those Prohibition days black and white photos of Elliot Ness and his G-Men busting up an illegal brewery, this Sedan Delivery has a wooden body. On each side of the box, it proudly proclaims that it hails from Cooperstown, New York. Does it? There is no way of telling but, like so much of this rolling laugh-mobile, it certainly looks cool! I’m sure that there were Model A Sedan Deliveries in Cooperstown back in 1928, probably delivering milk and eggs. This isn’t one of those; you’d more likely use this for a late night beer run. And that’ll get you voted right into the neighborhood Hall of Fame!
